The only way to change your life is by first changing your lifestyle.🧗🏾♀️🚴🏾♀️
It is very hard to evolve a new diet around a poor lifestyle.
A poor lifestyle will encourage a poor diet. 🌭🍔🍟🍕A healthy lifestyle will encourage a healthy diet.🥗🥕🥦🥒🍎🍇🍌
See where I am going with this?
Your lifestyle can help keep you motivated to eat better or it can motivate you not to.
It all starts with your lifestyle.
Then you move to your diet.
Check out my blog about starting a healthy lifestyle and get some tips on how to be successful on this journey.
Finding The Right Diet For You
There is an enormous amount of information about diets out there.
It can get pretty confusing as to how to achieve the goals you want.
The pendulum of ‘which diet works’ keeps swinging back and forth.
There are a ton of diets you can choose from too like the Keto diet, the Paleo diet, the smoothie diet, the vegan diet, the vegetarian diet, the pescatarian diet, the diet to help you lose weight, the diet to help you gain weight and the list goes on and on.
People try adapting to different diets, but only a few are lucky to find one that helps them to successfully maintain their health.
For me, I have a mixture of diets all in one that helps me stay healthy and fit.
Occasionally, I will eat shellfish like shrimp 🍤 and mussels, but no fish. 🐟
I combined all of these different diets into one and this has now been my new lifestyle.
I call my diet/lifestyle ‘Morganism’…like veganism but my name is Morgan…😅
Anyways, the way I formed this diet works with my active lifestyle.
Also, it is okay to combine diets to create one that suits your needs.
There is no ‘One Size Fits All’ diet.
Diet Debate Dying Out
The diet debate is almost extinct which is a good thing because the word ‘diet’ has such a negative connotation to it.
A lot of people hear the word ‘diet’ and think starvation.
People trying to lose weight through ‘dieting’ almost always confess that they have been cheating on their diet.
The major reason for failing to keep up with a diet plan is that the plan is not parallel to that person’s lifestyle.
A diet that matches your lifestyle is easier to maintain!
The realization that lifestyle comes before diet is triggered by the knowledge that the body is not a machine that efficiently produces output according to the input.
Our bodies are integrated in such a way that improvement of the whole depends on how well all the systems are coordinated.
For example, a person desiring to lose weight may do well at eating healthy foods, but fail to handle emotional distress.
According to research, stress leads to weight gain in some people.
Having a lifestyle that supports the well-being of the entire body is the only way to achieve a healthy lifestyle for that individual.

Researchers Determined Lifestyle Comes Before Your Diet
Many different researchers have come to the same conclusion that your lifestyle is more important than your diet.
Researchers like Bradley Appelhans from the Rush University Medical Center and Sherry Pagoto from the University of Massachusetts Medical have stated that different diets are equally good as they are bad in helping one lose weight and stay healthy.
They support their case that lifestyle changes can collectively handle diet changes and other aspects of healthy living.
Here is a quick little illustration by yours truly 😉 to show this concept below.👇🏾
Based on both the illustration and these researchers, it shows why your lifestyle truly plays a huge role in a healthy lifestyle.
Having the ‘right’ diet can only get you so far.
You need to be able to have a lifestyle that matches the diet you want to have.
If not, you will not stick to it.
Getting more information about the kind of diet you would like to have is a great thing to do.
Just remember to make sure that your lifestyle can motivate you to keep up with that diet.
Nutritionists Support Having A Healthy Lifestyle Before A Healthy Diet
In support of the case of lifestyle over diet, many nutritionists have indicated instances when some of their clients have tried different diets but have ‘fallen off the wagon’.
The result of such a failure is discouragement and frustration.
Many people want to lose the weight quickly, but their lifestyle has to be the motivating factor to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Once again, this all leads right back to your lifestyle.
Because of this, pro-lifestyle nutritionists help their clients develop a plan that they can follow while they make new lifestyle changes.
They note that the greatest problem associated with weight and health management is adherence.
To Wrap Things Up…
Lifestyle changes such as exercise, positive thinking, focusing on progress rather than perfection are the ultimate solutions to health management.
If you are able to make and enhance these lifestyle changes, it becomes very easy to follow any healthy diet plan.
Try to let your lifestyle be the motivating factor that drives you to eat healthier.
So remember, your diet has to match your lifestyle for it to help you reach your healthy living goals!
To changing your lifestyle for the better,
